The C19 pandemic has certainly changed peoples behaviour when it comes to boating.
Boat buying with new buyers has been over the top since April. We realized people were looking for a way to recreate with their families and social distance at the same time, consequently boat sales picked up significantly. Given the fluctuating restrictions, unknown duration and lasting effects of the pandemic, women are also embracing boating as a way for their families to safely connect with others and be active in the near-term.
According to industry sources 75 percent more women are shopping for boats. There has been a tidal wave of women shopping for boats this summer. Reports of banner-year boat sales have been making headlines and the latest data suggests the surge is partially due to women and mothers sequestered with kids, who have quickly directed their family and friends to the waterfront for some much-needed fun.
